What is Candy AI chat, and how does it connect to Candy Shorts?

The last episode ends on a half-finished sentence. The screen fades, the music holds one note too long, and you realize you want to ask the character something that has nothing to do with the plot. Something like: so what were you about to say?

Candy AI chat is the private, text-based conversation you can open with an AI character on candy.ai. Candy Shorts is the watching side of the platform, and chat is the talking side. When a series ends, you can open a private chat with the featured character and carry on from there.

Watching versus talking

An episode is a finished story with a beginning, a middle and an end. A chat is open-ended and yours: you type, the character answers, and the direction is up to you.

That difference is the whole appeal. A Short gives you the hook, and chat lets you push on it.

How do you move from an episode to a chat?

The route is short, and the first half costs nothing.

1. Create a free account on candy.ai. The site shows Join Free and Create Free Account buttons, plus a Login button if you already have one.
2. Open the Shorts tab in the main menu and pick a series.
3. Watch episodes 1 and 2, which independent reviewers report are free on every regular series.
4. Open a private chat with the character the series features.

The memory caveat

Here's the catch that surprises people: watching doesn't change your chat history or the character's memory. The episode is a self-contained, pre-written story, so the chat doesn't automatically know what you just watched.

In practice, you carry the story across. If a scene mattered to you, say so in your first message.

What does Candy AI chat include on a free account and on Premium?

Free accounts get a small taste of chat, and Premium lists unlimited text messages. Independent reviewers report a low free message cap, and we haven't seen Candy publish an exact number.

Which Candy AI chat categories are there: girlfriend, boyfriend or anime?

Candy AI's menu sorts its characters into a few groups. Searches like "Candy AI girlfriend" and "Candy AI boyfriend" both end up here.

• AI Girlfriend: the main category, and where the button at the top of this page lands.
• AI Boyfriend (Guys): the same idea, with male characters. You'll see a button for it on this page too.
• Anime: characters in an illustrated, anime-style look, with its own button as well.

The rest of the menu

The main menu also lists Chat, Collection, Generate Image, Create Character, My AI and Private Content. We haven't covered each of those here, so browse the menu before you pay for anything.

Can you create your own character on Candy AI?

On Premium, yes. Candy lists "create your own AI girlfriend(s)", 18+ image generation and 18+ video generation among its Premium benefits, and the menu includes Create Character and Generate Image sections.

Candy also advertises a "full live action experience" with Premium. We haven't verified what that includes, so we won't describe it.

How do you get better Candy AI chats?

A good chat is mostly about what you bring to it. Five habits help.

1. Set the scene. Open with where you are, who you're talking to and what mood you want. The character can only work with what you give it.
2. Bring the episode with you. Because watching doesn't update the character's memory, sum up the moment you care about in a sentence or two.
3. Keep it respectful. Candy publishes Community Guidelines and a Blocked Content Policy. Read them so you know where the lines are.
4. Guard your privacy. Skip your full name, address, workplace and other identifying details, and use an email address you're comfortable with. A chat isn't a diary.
5. Test before you rely on it. We haven't verified how much a character remembers inside a long chat, so run a short test first.

What about "Candy AI sexting"?

People do search for it. Candy is an adult platform, but we won't describe what chats contain. What's allowed is set by Candy's own policies, which can change, so read them directly.

Is Candy AI chat private and safe?

Candy AI is operated by EverAI Limited, a company registered in Malta. It publishes a Terms of Service, Privacy Notice, Cookies Notice, Underage Policy and Community Guidelines, among other policies.

Card charges show as "EverAI" on bank statements, so check that before you share a statement with anyone. Candy also says it is "trusted by 50 million people worldwide", which is its own marketing claim and not something we've verified.

It's an 18+ platform. If you're under 18, it isn't for you.

Is Candy AI chat worth paying for after the free episodes?

Our advice is to sample first. Watch episodes 1 and 2 of a few series, open a chat, and see whether the format hooks you. If you hit the free message cap and want more, that's your signal.

At the time of writing, the annual plan has the lowest monthly price, but you pay for the full year up front. Plans renew automatically for the same price and term, and Candy says you can cancel any time in settings.
